Hello and thank you for choosing VividScape Photography! Here are some helpful expectations to give you an idea of how to prepare for the day of our photo shoot. By preparing the home, we will be able to maximize the photo potential and be sure to make those first impressions really count! When I arrive to take photos of your property, I ask that all staging and cleaning be done prior to my arrival. The list below offers a general idea of how to do so.

Tips on how to prepare:

Interior:

  • Thoroughly clean whole house (vacuum carpet, mop hard floors, clean & clear countertops, wash windows)
  • Turn all overhead lights and lamps ON
  • Replace all burned out light bulbs
  • Use bulbs of the same temperature (ALL incandescent or ALL compact fluorescent)
  • Open blinds/window treatments to let in outside light
  • Remove personal photographs (or replace with general landscape/object photographs)
  • Make all beds
  • Remove small floor rugs to reveal actual flooring
  • Place all shoes/jackets in closets
  • Hide away any food items, excess appliances, toiletry, and tools.

Exterior:

  • Close garage doors
  • Remove cars from driveway and front of home
  • Clean up landscaping (mow, trim shrubs, clear leaves)
  • Remove empty planters
  • Use broom to remove cobwebs from eaves and door frames
  • Remove tools, toys, sports balls, etc.

The above information should be relayed to property owner and/or current tenants if applicable.

What to expect: As a professional, I pride myself on delivering exceptional service to my clients and work dilliently to make both of our time well spent. Depending on the size of the home and the requested package of images, the time it takes to photograph and/or video a home will vary anywhere between 1-4 hours. Once I have sufficiently captured the requested images, I will then return to my office for extended hours of editing. Photos will be delivered within 24hrs after the photoshoot ends. Additional time may be needed for video packages, complex photshop editing requests, and last minute photoshoot booking.

Note: While I can use photoshop to fix certain things such as exposed wiring on unfinished light switches and other minor blemishes that will be repaired before time of viewing, it is not an instant fix! It does add time to the editing process and threfore may be subject to additional charges. What I can’t do is photoshop things out of the picture such as telephone wires, neighboring buildings, or other permanent fixtures that will provide distored views of the property.

Photos & Payment: Payment is due before photos are to be delviered. Once payment has been confirmed, all images and video will be uploaded to a cloud or drive account for access.

Thank you for choosing VividScape Photography. I look forward to working with you!
